Tournament Rules

Dear Player

Kindly take note of the following:-

Play commences at 7am sharp. All golfers are required to arrive  at least 30 minutes before tee off time. COVID screening will be done. Any late comers will forfeit the points on the holes missed,

We will be using two tees. White and navy (senior golfers over 60 optional). Please mark which tee on your scorecard.

Slow play will not be tolerated as we have a maximum field.  A first warning will be given and thereafter the 4 ball will be asked to leave the field.

Format is individual Stable Ford. There is only one division MAX handicap is 24.  Count out will be as follows:

Player with the lower handicap will win.

If still a tie, then a count out will be made on stroke 1, then stroke 2, etc.

The match referee’s  decision will be final.

Please participate in a fair and just manner thereby displaying sportsmanship that is commensurate with the game of GOLF. 

Trophies and Prizes:

Trophies and prizes will be awarded for the five top positions .

Trophy for the longest drive (18th hole stroke 12)

Trophies for nearest to the pins on all par 3’s

Many other positional prizes will be awarded.  Trophies and prizes are eligible only if a player has an official handicap.

Local club rules apply. Relief in the bunker one club length only if a footprint. There is no such thing as “gimme putts”. PLACING SCORE CARD LENTH

WE will be using the SCORE CAPTURE application. Please download on your phone. PIN number will be given on the day. This is the official scoring system being used. Please ensure that the number of strokes  are correctly recorded .  Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CORRECTNESS OF YOUR CARD.

In the event players cannot complete their round due to bad light, adverse weather conditions or for any unforeseen circumstances, the committee’s decision will be final.

Wrong handicap will result in disqualification.  Club committee retains the right to verify any player’s handicap.

The Prize presentation ceremony will be held at the bar area after play. Please collect your lunch meal after play. Drinks are complimentary and can be taken from the bar area.  Your presence is important and will be appreciated.

Please note that player’s assistants (CADDIES) are paid for in full.  A voluntary tip may be given after the game.  Their main function is to speed up play, i.e. rake bunkers, look for lost balls, etc.  Please do not rely on them for lines on the greens.
